The focus of this presentation was mental health services for American Hispanics. Hispanics may resist seeking professional help (reasons for this are discussed) so self-help programs may foster more positive results. The therapeutic benefits & the stages that a participant experiences in a self-help group are reviewed. An 11-item bibliography on self-help materials is provided.
