He says suicide prevention workshops that are church-based can fulfill a basic purpose of the church which is to promote affirmation & acceptance to people who are hurting. Additionally, the church is a responsible society & extends itself to serve the community. To be effective, prevention programs must include parents, youth workers & youth as participants.
