Teen-CONTACT, a telephone counselling line in Dallas, Texas, started a program to create peer support, teach suicide prevention skills, & increase awareness of the 24-hour telephone service. The topic of peer “put downs” was selected as the problem to address. The goals of the project, e.g. to communicate the relationship of peer put downs to suicide attempts, are outlined.
