This article describes the Good Hope Children’s Centre in Birmingham, England. An interdisciplinary team of nurses, a child psychiatrist, a psychologist, social workers & a GP clinical assistant treat all children & adolescents who attempt suicide & are admitted to the Good Hope Hospital. Most of the referrals are teenage girls with eating disorders. A growing number of patients have been sexually abused. Therapy involves the entire family as much as possible. (2 refs.)
