This article reports on a British Columbia case of a woman who died from a drug overdose. Her husband called the local poison control centre; acting on the information he was given he did not seek medical help for his wife. The doctor & nurse were both found partially liable for the woman’s death because of the advice they had given. However, the husband was also found liable because he phrased his conversation as hypothetical & he did not fully express the seriousness of his wife’s condition.
