National Survey of the Extent and Nature of Psychological Services in Police Departments

This study identifies the current use, perceived need, & anticipated future use of psychological services by police agencies, based on a national survey of municipal & State police departments in 1987. A principle finding in the study is the substantial growth in the current use of psychological services in police departments. Areas of projected change in the use of psychological services is presented. (26 ref)
