Wellness Conference “Caring for the Caregivers”: Conference Report

The conference, co-sponsored by the Treaty 7 Tribal Council & Alberta Treaty Regional Board for the Prevention of Family Violence, was organized within an understanding of wellness as a holistic concept that included the self, relationships & family, community, & all aspects of physical, mental & spiritual health. The report summarizes opening & closing ceremonies, plenary sessions, 27 workshops (one on suicide prevention), traditional healing sessions, conference planning & evaluation.
