This report provides recommendations for the family physician based on an intervention program with a group of bereaved children. Objectives for bereaved children are outlined, & the intake questionnaire, behavioural checklists, family drawing interpretation, anger management tools, books & movies are suggested. Case studies, including that of an 8-year-old boy whose father committed suicide, illustrate the effectiveness of intervention & demonstrate the variability of children’s responses.
