Goldblatt M~~Schatzberg A
The purpose of this chapter is to discuss the management of the suicidal patient which relies heavily on the relationship that the patient has to a primary therapist or treatment team. The chapter begins by addressing general management issues for suicidal patients with specific psychiatric disorders, and thereafter the authors propose detailed medication strategies for treating patients and their symptoms within diagnostic categories.
