A research review on a study to determine what Alberta youth know about suicide prevention (students from grade 8 – 12). Results include; a ration of 2 female suicide attempts for every 1 male attempt, specifically targeted prevention programs should take these gender differences into account, & increased education for teachers & students as well as enhanced evaluation of suicide prevention curricula is recommended.
