This article discusses suicide in the elderly by looking at interactions of culture, aging, and suicide from comparisons of epidemiological data between countries that report suicide statistics. The author concludes that collaborative efforts that attempt to standardize methods for the study of suicide across cultures from a range of social, psychological, and biological perspectives is needed.
