This study designed to help provide more effective suicide prevention programs for immigrants in the province of Alberta takes the form of a structural interview involving facilitators and respondents from 3 minority communities. A major assumption underlying the study is that the efficacy of a suicide prevention training program for specific ethnic communities is directly related to the inclusion of culturally specific content and instructional methodology.
