This chapter is a review of the ethical considerations involved in the decision of Dr. Orne to release audio tapes of his therapy sessions with poet Anne Sexton. The author argues that written consent should be gained from the patient before therapy sessions begin in order to avoid questions of unethical behaviour being raised. (14 refs.)
