In this article the author looks at the issue of euthanasia by asking: Why is such a profound shift occurring in Americans’ attitudes toward assisted suicide and active euthanasia? The author’s rationale for doing this is that he believes that this needs to be understood before we opt to legalize assisted death for the aging and terminally ill.
