Murray has given a favourable review of Leenaar’s & Wenckstern’s book which outlines the state of the art of suicide prevention in schools. She states the book is also useful for people outside of the school system & that the information presented will be helpful to any caregiver who is in contact with suicidal teenagers. For example, a chapter on helper countertransference, its manifestations, & impact, is applicable to the issues which arise between suicidal callers & distress line workers.
