Experience With 732 Acute Overdose Patients Admitted to an Intensive Care Unit Over six Years

The objective set out for this paper is to determine the outcome of patients with acute overdose requiring admission to the Intensive Care Unit. The study surveyed a six year period, 732 patients and reviewed: death rate, use and duration of mechanical ventilation, type of compound taken and compounds associated with a fatal outcome.
