Suicide, Self-Sacrifice, and Coercion (IN: Suicide: Right or Wrong?, edited by J Donnelly)

The author attempts to distinguish between different forms of self caused death. After this he moves on to reject definitions of suicide developed by Durkheim, Brandt, Margolis, and Beauchamp. This is followed by the author’s own definition of suicide which he claims is not morally based.
