Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention

The Centre for Suicide Research & Prevention in Stockholm was established on 1 January 1993. The tasks of the Centre include teaching, providing information, epidemiological monitoring & research. An initial step for the Centre to reduce the number of suicides & parasuicides is to enhance awareness of the incidence of suicidal behaviour, the composition of groups at risk, the reasons for suicide & knowledge of the treatment methods available.
