Abstract
Outcome in Children’s Day Treatment: Relationship to Preadmission Variables
Gabel S~~Swanson A J~~et al
The study results reported in this article indicate that preadmission variables of severe aggressive/destructive behaviour & suicidal ideation/behaviour, & of parental substance abuse & suspected child abuse/maltreatment, appear to predict poor outcome in Day Treatment (DT) for children when 3 DT centers, one from an earlier report (Gabel et al, 1988) are considered together. The hypothesis is not supported when findings at only 2 new centers are considered. Possible reasons are discussed.
