Abstract
The Stigma Against Dying and Suicidal Patients: a Replication of Richard Kalish’s Study Twenty-Five Years Later
Lester D
A study of prejudice directed toward deviant & psychiatric groups as well as toward religious & ethnic groups replicated the results reported by Richard Kalish twenty-five years ago. The deviant & psychiatric groups, including people dying from cancer & who had attempted suicide, were the recipients of more prejudice than the religious & ethnic groups. In addition, it was found that extraversion was associated with less prejudice toward almost all of the groups. (3 refs.)
