Paper Summary: Long-Term Follow-Up With Suicidal Adolescents: Description and Preliminary Findings

This presentation to the 1993 American Association of Suicidology Conference reports on a patient follow-up & program evaluation project at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. Subjects: 197 adolescents in 6 experimental groups. Conclusions: a telephone follow-up procedure appears to be a legitimate approach to targeting an at-risk population effectively, & to helping adolescents access treatment who otherwise would not receive any mental health services at all.
