This paper, prresented at the 1993 American Association of Suicidality Conference, reports on an evaluation tool developed by the Boys Town National Hotline to provide performance-based feedback to phone crisis counselors for skill development & skill maintenance. It provides information on the success of this tool with respect to phone crisis counselor’s skill assessment, & discusses prediction of phone crisis counselors’ skill level, & inter-rater reliability.
