This article retrospectively examined the psychopharmacotherapy (quality & doses of mediciation) of 25 inpatient suicides & 25 matched controls at a clinic in Finland. 2 significant differences between groups: the suicide group had lower neuroleptic doses; they more often used benzodiazepine medication than controls. Depression was documented in hospital charts more frequently in suicides. No differences were found between groups in the amount of antidepressant medication used. (25 Refs.)
