The present study investigated the knowledge level for suicide facts & myths in a sample of 82 elementary & secondary school teachers who were administered the 32 item Suicide Knowledge Questionnaire. Results indicated that overall knowledge was low with an average score of 63% of the items correct. Implications for the findings are discussed with reference to future research directions for suicide prevention & awareness efforts. (41 Refs.)
