In this letter to the editor, Procter reports on his examination of the records of deliberate self poisoning by adolescents in Bradford. The results of his study, that rates of self-poisoning increase during the school term & decrease during holidays, confirm the results of another study done by McGibben et al. Procter says that school attendance as a factor in adolescent self-poisoning warrants further research.
