The authors conducted a study which focussed on variations in B.C. aboriginal & non-aboriginal suicide rates in order to identify factors which may protect groups against high suicide rates. The book starts with a review of the relevant literature. The methods used in this study & the authors’ findings are then presented. The book concludes with a synthesis & recommendations for action by individual communities, & by municipal, regional, provincial & federal governments.
