Dealing With Death and Suicide in the School Community

This booklet provides guidelines for preventing student suicide & for managing the impact of a death or suicide in the school community. The first part offers assistance for school staffs that come into contact with students who appear to display suicidal tendencies. Information on warning signs is given & the importance of specialised help for these students is emphasized. The second part urges schools to develop a plan that can be implemented immediately if there is a student death or suicide.
