Data were collected on 131 students in a Kansas high school. On death anxiety, girls had a significantly higher mean than boys. There was no difference between means of students of divorced & nondivorced parents. On self-esteem & GPA, children of divorced parents scored significantly lower than child of nondivorced parents, but there was no difference between the sexes on self-esteem. The children of divorced parents had higher scores on depression but there was no gender difference. (12 refs.)
