Crises Plan for Coping With Sudden Death in the School Setting

The crisis plan in this handbook is intended as guide which can be adapted to suit individual & local needs. The first part of this handbook lists specific tasks that need to be done in the first 3 days after a crisis. The remainder of the handbook discusses topics such as staff procedures after a crisis, identification of at-risk students, memorial services, the role of peer counsellors, & grief.
