In this letter to the editor, the authors praise a previous article by Hendin on youth suicide (see SIEC #911242). However, they say that Hendin failed to address the increased vulnerability of homosexual youth for suicide. They state that suicidal behaviour among gay & lesbian youth is an epidemic within an epidemic that remains largely unknown. Dr. Hendin’s reply to this letter follows.
