In this letter to the editor, the case of a 42-year-old female patient with major depression is presented. The subject was positively responding to pharmacotherapy & elected to discontinue treatment prematurely due to intense negative publicity about fluoxetine. She dated the onset of her aggressive symptoms to a time when she was taking a placebo.
