Abstract
Child Psychiatry and Early Intervention: II. The Internalizing Disorders
Beitchman J H~~Inglis A~~et al
The internalizing disorders were reviewed from the point of view of early intervention. In general, the internalizing disorders have little effect on the community. When coupled with other disorders, or when dealing with suicide, the community’s concern for these disorders increases & allocation of resources to at-risk population becomes an important public health goal. Suicide is discussed in terms of prevalence, longitudinal course, risk factors, intervention & aggregate burden of suffering.
