The authors offer a set of guidelines, that he feels can be implemented in most schools, for informing students of a death. Guidelines are presented both for telling an individual student & telling the student body. They recommend that faculty schedule bereavement workshops before a tragedy occurs so that they can see what feelings & experiences of their own might help or complicate the situation.
