Youth Suicide Prevention Programs: a Resource Guide

This guide describes the rationale & evidence for the effectiveness of various youth suicide prevention strategies & identifies model programs that incorporate these strategies. Eight different strategies were delineated: 1) school gatekeeper training; 2) community gatekeeper training; 3) general suicide education; 4) screening programs; 5) peer support programs; 6) crisis centres & hotlines; 7) means restriction; & 8) intervention after a suicide.
