The case history of Mrs. Marigold Perry, a 50-year old widow, is presented. Following several months of inpatient treatment for a psychotic illness Mrs. Perry was discharged; she took her life by a drug overdose 10 days later. Comments on this case by John T. Maltsberger & Wayne S. Fenton follow.
