Abstract
Intensive Group Psychotherapy Using a Team of Therapists I: Good for Patients, Good for Staff?
Clark J~~Robertshaw S
The evolution of an intensive group as a form of treatment & as a form of staff training in a psychotherapy-oriented day hospital is described. Group members contract for 1 term of therapy (10-12 weeks of 6 sessions/week). Each session is led by a therapist from a different discipline. The intensive group has proven helpful for, among others, chronic neurotic disorder patients. The case of a woman who had attempted suicide after the breakup of her marriage is provided as illustration.
