National incidence rates & trends of homicide for American Indians, blacks & whites are investigated. A general overview is given of what relationships & precipitating circumstances characterize American Indian homicide at a national level. While blacks have the highest total homicide rate of any group (external aggression) & whites have the highest suicide rate (internal aggression), analysis showed that American Indians have consistently high rates of both internal & external aggression.
