In this letter to the editor, the author refutes earlier arguments offered by Travis against assisted suicide (see SIEC #911018). Palmore then gives his arguments in favour of assisted suicide including, among others: 1) the quality of life is more important that its quantity & 2) assisted suicide does not affect or infringe upon the rights of others, nor does it harm society. Palmore states that the popularity of “Final Exit” proves that many people believe rational suicide is a right.
