This publication examines the lives & suicides of 13 novelists & poets: Berryman, Crane, Heggen, Hemingway, Lindsay, Lockridge, London, Mishima, Pavese, Plath, Teasdale, Woolf, & Zweig. The connection between writing & suicide is explored. Depression, alcohol abuse, & the fear of being unsuccessful as writers played an important role in these suicides.
