This letter to the editor describes the case of a depressed patient who was treated with imipramine, & developed suicidal ideation. He initially improved on the drug, but after receiving an increased dosage, he felt occassional suicidal ideation. The patient also experienced excessive body movements during sleep, an increase in nightmares, & less clear thinking. (VM)
