School Nursing is Alive and Well in Kalamazoo, Thanks to Nazareth College Nursing Students

As a commitment to community service, Nazareth College places nursing students in elementary school settings as part of their training. Students plan & implement health promotion projects on such topics as suicide prevention, disaster response, nutrition & personal hygiene. Through this program, students gain experience, independence, & a sense of helping to meet a community need as they learn about community health nursing. 11 refs
