Staff Training: a Computer Model (IN: Planning to Live: Evaluating and Treating Suicidal Teens in Community Settings, ed. by M J Rotheram-Borus et al)

With the aid of mental health experts, crisis/suicide experts, consulting trainers, counselors & a medical anthropologist, a computer-assisted training package was developed as a model to train staff in adolescent suicide prevention. This chapter is a description of this program. The authors believe that this type of computer-assisted training insures a consistent & thorough presentation of the most essential factors & assessment issues surrounding the topic of youth suicide.
