The authors state that it is now time to move toward some consensus as to the appropriate nature of school intervention programs. They suggest using the following 3 categories to assess school programs: 1) Goals – what are schools trying to accomplish with these programs; 2) Objectives – what tasks must be completed in order to achieve the goals, & 3) Procedures – what are the best ways to complete the tasks? The authors also recommend that each program contain a rigorous evaluation component.MM
