Abstract
Migraine, Psychiatric Disorders, and Suicide Attempts: an Epidemiologic Study of Young Adults
Breslau N~~Davis G C~~et al
To determine the prevalence of migraine & the risks for associated psychiatric disorders & suicide attempts, a random sample of 1007 young adults was studied. Persons with migraine had higher rates of suicide attempts than persons without migraines. The adjusted odds ratio for suicide attempts in migraine with aura was 3.0 (95% confidence interval). The coexistence of migraine with major depression, anxiety disorders & suicide attempts has important clinical & research implications. (42 refs.)
