This article is a summary of an Australian report which compares the mental health facilities provided for natives of Australia, Canada & the U.S. Natives in all 3 countries have high suicide, violence & mental disturbance rates. Australia does not have any mental health programs for natives, & the author argues they should set up a national training & research centre similiar to those in Canada & the U.S. Also described is the case of an Aborigine who committed suicide while in jail.(VM)
