This 5th volume in a series on minority group health in the U.S. focuses on homicide, suicide & accidents. It includes statistics on Native Americans, Asian/Pacific Islanders, Hispanics, & Blacks. Suicide rates were lower for most minority groups, except for Native Americans & Chinese women. The report outlines factors causing higher rates, such as loss of traditional ways & alcoholism, & in the Chinese, the stigma attached to mental health problems. Ideas for prevention are also presented. (VM)
