This article reviews the epidemiology of injury for youths aged 10 through 19 years, discusses selected interventions, & suggests a research agenda. The authors briefly review methods, rates & warning signs of teenage suicide. The complexity of various suicide prevention schemes is also discussed. For example, the evidence is not clear that gun control actually reduces the number of suicides. (102 refs.) (MM)
