Suggests that educational psychology services discuss & develop their own protocols for involvement in cases of school-aged suicide. Five possible areas in which educational psychologists could contribute are suggested in the literature: (1) understanding parasuicidal behaviour, (2) the assessment of risk, (3) breaking the cycle of suicidal behaviour, (4) helping schools cope after a student’s suicide, & (5) working preventively with schools.
