This article attacks the argument that elderly people rationally decide to commit suicide. The authors argue that more research must be done concerning the differences between young & elderly suicide. They propose that the unique problems of the elderly, such as anxiety, fears or threats over losing core aspects of one’s identity, should be researched. (VM)
