Describes women at risk for infection with HIV & offers suggestions for counsellors working with such women or those diagnosed with AIDS. Concerns specific to women are outlined, & resources for women are discussed. Issues that counsellors need to address include grief work, suicide, safer sexual practices, self-blame & hatred in mothers with HIV infection, & neutral abortion counselling for seropositive women.
